Pirri Scores Two in Pre-Season Win Over Devils

The newest Rangers are making names for themselves in the pre-season.

On Tuesday, newcomer Mika Zibanejad sparked the Blueshirts to a win over the Islanders with a goal and two assists, and Thursday Brandon Pirri scored two goals as the Rangers beat the Devils, 3-1, at The Garden.

Pirri, signed in late August, now has three goals in two pre-season games, and is making it hard for the Rangers coaching staff to leave him off the opening night roster.

John Gilmour had the other Rangers goal.

The Blueshirts are back in pre-season action Saturday night against the Devils in Newark.
