The Rangers trimmed seven players from their training camp roster Thursday, seven days before the 2017-18 season begins. The team sent Ryan Graves, Vinni Lettieri, Boo Nieves, and Neal Pionk to Hartford in the AHL, waived Matt Puempel, and released Bobby Farnham. The team also loaned Lias Andersson to Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League.

The moves trimmed the roster down to 25 players, meaning that the Blueshirts still have a couple of players to waive, demote, or trade.
